Cowtown Pod Member Ron Barnes was the winner of the 32nd Annual Cowtown Cookoff on June 14, 2008, at Cabela's. Barnes won a made of wood from the historic Ft. Worth Stockyards with an '08 branding iron and (another) stove which was hand-painted by local artist Wendell Rankin. (pictured below)
The 2008 Cowtown cookoff was held at Cabela’s in Ft. Worth on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15.
The Cowtown Pod meets the fourth Tuesday of the month (not necessarily the last Tuesday) at the Arlington Elks Lodge at 601 W. Pioneer Pkwy at 7:00 p.m. We often don't meet in November or December due to the holidays and being post-Terlingua.
